The Benefits and Limitations of the Group Healing Call Venue

Over my 27 year career in providing group healing opportunities for people, I’ve noticed that some people receive way beyond that which they could have ever expected was possible and are very happy and satisfied with their group healing experiences. While others, as much as they would like to be happy with the group healing opportunities they attend, find themselves frustrated, disappointed, and discouraged by the very same process. So, I am prompted to explore how it is that these two very opposite experiences come from participation in the same process.

To discover what gives people such different experiences with the same event, it is important to explore the cause of frustration, disappointment, and discouragement. All three negative experiences result from one having pre-established expectations that are not met. Whereas the positive experiences people receive result from their expectations being met or exceeded. So, it’s not the event or occurrence itself which elicits the person’s experience, but rather, whether or not their expectations are met.
In order to help those who are participating in group healing events to have more positive experiences, it is important to clearly define what group healing calls are capable of providing and what they are not able to provide, so that one’s expectations are reasonable and likely to be met.
First and foremost, remember the group healing call venue is a group process. It is not a one-on-one session. You cannot expect to get the same things from both. So, when participating in a group healing call venue, for you to have the best experience possible, align your expectations with what this venue can actually provide. Celebrate what you were able to receive and accomplish, instead of focusing on what you were not able to receive or accomplish.
In order to help those who are participating in group healing events to have more positive experiences, it is important to clearly define what group healing calls are capable of providing and what they are not able to provide, so that one’s expectations are reasonable and likely to be met.
First and foremost, remember the group healing call venue is a group process. It is not a one-on-one session. You cannot expect to get the same things from both. So, when participating in a group healing call venue, for you to have the best experience possible, align your expectations with what this venue can actually provide. Celebrate what you were able to receive and accomplish, instead of focusing on what you were not able to receive or accomplish.

Benefits of the Group Healing Call Venue
- Allows for many people to experience the same process simultaneously creating a community synergism that occurs within a group event that is absent in a one-on-one session.
- Piggy-backing off of others healing processes is a major benefit even for those who don’t participate in a live call-in process of their own. This is one of the major benefits. Those who don’t take this opportunity to actively participate in every call are REALLY MISSING OUT.
- General information regarding group interest topics can be delivered to every member of the group simultaneously.
- Allows for more people to have a healing process given by a single facilitator.
- Allows for Q&A over all topics which concern healing, beyond that of just having a lecture type of event where interaction is not allowed.
- Allows the freedom to come and go as one chooses during the time frame of the event.
- Many people participating simultaneously allows each to do so at a much reduced cost from that of a one-on-one session.
Limitations of the Group Healing Call Venue
- It is not capable of providing in depth one-on-one attention to resolve issues that require more than 10 minutes of the facilitator’s directed focus.
- Issues that require resolution on multiple levels usually require too much time for group venue.
- Many issues that provide people with their most desperate concerns cannot be addressed in ten minutes or less.
- There are a limited number of persons that can participate in the live call-in part of the event; due to human energetic concerns of the facilitator, and also bodily functions, time is usually limited to 2 hours.
- The number of issues that can be addressed is limited to one per person (this is fuzzy as some issues seem to be two but are actually linked as one).
- Conservatively, in sessions where 7 participants or more queue up wishing to have their issues addressed , it is very likely that not everyone will be able to receive personal attention to resolve their issue. It is the nature of the venue. Don’t take it personal if you don’t get in.
- Technological issues are compounded in group internet/telephone connections which creates additional issues at deeper levels of complexity not present in one-on-one focused interactions.
Further Considerations
First off in any group process, there is no guarantee that you will be called on during that particular session. Please know this going in. It will save you a lot of heartache, frustration, and disappointment.
It is likely if you find yourself unable to alter your expectations of things or persons to fit what is more likely to happen that this is a pattern you learned during your process of socialization. It is likely that someone or persons in your immediate family or social environment forced their expectations upon you and this has become a pattern for you as well. If this is the case, don’t despair, it is resolvable and there is help available to rid yourself of this imprinted very stressful frustrating, disappointing, and discouraging belief system pattern of reality.
It’s also very important to know how people are being chosen for live call interaction. Are they being chosen from the queue as they raised their hand chronologically, or picked by intuitive basis as guided by the facilitator, or guided by Spirit?
If the calls are being taken according to either of the intuitive or Spirit guided methods, the person’s readiness to deal with the issue they want to present is a significant factor in determining the order in which they are called, but also whether they are called at all. If you’re not ready, you won’t be picked.

Chronologic Order; Queue Method
There are so many factors determining who gets into the queue first it’s impossible to list them all, and also as some people find out through technological glitches, who remains in the queue. It is my personal belief that both methods are Spirit guided and it always is what it is for the benefit of the individuals who actually get to speak live as well as for all who are in attendance.

- If it’s important to you that your issue is addressed the best way to insure that, is to come on the line 10 - 15 minutes early and raise your hand “*2” immediately so you’ll be one of the first in line.
- Please do not be upset if you don’t get called on if you raised your hand with less than 30 minutes to go in the session. You may as well be gambling in Vegas.
- Send in an email at least one hour prior to the event so that I am aware of the issue
- By doing this you’ve put your ego mind and the Universe on notice that you are committed and serious about dealing with the issue this time. I will look for you and make note of where you are in the queue
My Way of Determining Who Gets Called
I began with using the queue method when my groups were small and the numbers of people who wished to be chosen for the live call-in were manageable. The queue method no longer works adequately for me. This is due to the increased numbers of people in the healing call events and more people who are now stepping forward to participate in the opportunity to share their problems and have them addressed within the group setting. As a result, I’ve changed my preference and now present this to Spirit for direct guidance in my choice of those who are picked to speak so that each of the issues brought forward provides maximum benefit for all of those on the call and to those listening to the replay.
